At the Golden State Great Pyrenees Rescue & Sanctuary our mission is to provide a loving and safe haven for Great Pyrenees in need. We are committed to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of abandoned, abused, and homeless dogs. Our primary focus is to ensure that every dog entrusted to our care finds a forever home filled with love, understanding, and happiness.
With a heart that beats for these majestic dogs, our mission is two-fold:
These remarkable animals serve as protectors, not only safeguarding our livestock but also ensuring the safety of our families and other animals while coexisting harmoniously with wildlife. By equipping these dogs with the necessary skills, we ensure they contribute positively to both our sanctuary, the community and contributes to preserving the balance of our ecosystem through responsible guardianship without posing a thread to wildlife. Join us on our mission to provide sanctuary, care, and purpose to these remarkable dogs, who, with their inherent qualities, maintain a delicate balance between safeguarding our surroundings and preserving the harmony of our natural world.
Our values are centered on compassion, advocacy, and dedication to every dog's welfare. We believe that every dog deserves kindness, care, and a safe environment regardless of their background or circumstance. Through our unwavering commitment, we strive to be a beacon of hope for dogs who have faced abandonment, neglect, or abuse. We are dedicated to:
Together, we envision a world where every dog experiences love, care, and a place to call home. With the support of our dedicated team, volunteers, and compassionate donors, we continue our mission to make this vision a reality.
The Golden State Great Pyrenees Rescue & Sanctuary was founded by Sara Molina, who is rooted in a lifelong commitment to rescuing, rehabilitating, and providing sanctuary to Great Pyrenees dogs in need. Driven by a childhood dream and unwavering compassion for animals, Sara Molina embodies the spirit of rescue and advocacy with a focus on this majestic breed, our mission extends beyond mere rescue efforts. As a child she was always rescuing animals from cats, to chickens, to geese, and dogs. Most of her childhood memories involve animals. She has always been an animal lover and believe every animal should be treated with dignity, loved, and cared for.
Although she has rescued several animals throughout her life she is focused on Great Pyrenees because as the economy has suffer ranches have closed and a lot more of these beautiful dogs abandoned or surrendered by their owners. The rescue is located in Southern California where animal shelters are high kill shelters. The Ranch has livestock, poultry, and waterfowl. We are in a rural area and are surrounded by predators. Join us on our heartfelt journey to safeguard these gentle giants. By supporting our mission, you become an integral part of our commitment to keeping these beautiful dogs safe, nurtured, and cherished
